Joana Arilyn T. Castro joined Graves & King LLP in 2025 and is an associate attorney in the firm’s Riverside office.

Ms. Castro earned her Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law in 2025, concentrating in Privacy Law and Cybersecurity while earning a Law and Artificial Intelligence Certificate. She received the Dean’s Academic Excellence Scholarship, was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, and served as the 2025 USC Gould Graduate and International Programs Commencement Student Speaker. Ms. Castro received her Juris Doctor from De La Salle University – College of Law in Manila, Philippines, and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of the Philippines.

Prior to her LL.M., Ms. Castro practiced law in the Philippines as an associate lawyer, handling labor and employment disputes, telecommunications and mass media regulatory matters, and civil litigation. She also served as an employee relations lawyer for a major bank, conducting workplace investigations and facilitating employment disputes and disciplinary proceedings. Ms. Castro is licensed to practice law in California and the Philippines and is fluent in English and Filipino

Ms. Castro was born and raised in the Philippines and currently resides in Southern California. Outside of law, she enjoys traveling and playing with her dogs.
