Hector M. Ortega is an associate attorney in Graves & King LLP’s Riverside office. His practice focuses on civil litigation, with an emphasis on the defense of public entities. He approaches each matter through disciplined legal research, clear written advocacy, and careful attention to the client’s objectives.

Mr. Ortega earned his Juris Doctor from Western State College of Law, where he received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Legal Writing & Research. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Loyola Marymount University. His background also includes experience with residential rental operations, property maintenance, and renovation projects.

Mr. Ortega has lived in communities throughout the country, an experience that shaped his appreciation for different perspectives. Outside the office, he enjoys exploring California’s hiking trails, snowboarding, and spending time with family.
