Mark J. Ballinger joined Graves & King LLP in 2023 and is an attorney in the firm’s Glendale and Riverside offices. His practice focuses on the defense of public and private entities across a broad range of matters, including general liability, premises liability, professional liability, construction, and employment. Mr. Ballinger represents clients at all stages of litigation. He is committed to thoughtful, strategic advocacy tailored to each case.

While in law school, Mr. Ballinger was an extern with Northern California Innocence Project (“NCIP”). He was part of a legal team that successfully argued for the exoneration and freedom of a individual who was wrongly convicted. Mr. Ballinger was also part of a legal team that secured State Victim Compensation for a separate individual who had been wrongly convicted and exonerated. He maintains relationships with each individual he was privileged enough to serve while with NCIP.

Mr. Ballinger also served as an extern with the Santa Clara County Public Defender’s Office, where he developed a strong foundation with daily courtroom experience and a lasting commitment to protecting defendants’ rights. Following law school, Mr. Ballinger joined a civil litigation firm, where he continued to hone his advocacy and litigation skills.

Mr. Ballinger is a native and current resident of East Los Angeles, California. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy/Sociology and International Relations from Loyola Marymount University and received his Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law
