Jeffrey Van Wick

Jeffrey Van Wick is an associate attorney at the Riverside office.

Mr. Van Wick started his professional career as a police officer. While a police officer, Mr. Van Wick specialized in computer forensics, handling numerous cases involving computer crimes and electronic data. Mr. Van Wick was also a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE), which gave him the ability to investigate many impaired driving cases. Mr. Van Wick has been a speaker at law enforcement conferences, taught other members of law enforcement how to investigate computer crimes, and consulted for a District Attorney’s Office on various aspects of criminal cases.

After ten years in law enforcement, Mr. Van Wick was injured in the line of duty and was forced to medically retire. To continue helping the community, Mr. Van Wick began law school. In law school, Mr. Van Wick participated in Law Review, Moot Court, and won various awards for academic excellence. Mr. Van Wick is admitted to the California Bar, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Northern District of California, the Central District of California, and the Eastern District of California.

Mr. Van Wick’s background has a unique application within the legal profession. As a computer forensic examiner, he understands the evolving needs of the legal profession regarding technology. Electronic Discovery (E-Discovery) is a growing area that many attorneys neglect and overlook. Mr. Van Wick specializes in using and understanding electronic information in court.

Continuing his desire to help others, Mr. Van Wick volunteers to help judge Moot Court teams, teach computer forensics with The International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists (IACIS), and is active in his community.
