Brendan J. Coughlin

Brendan J. Coughlin is an associate attorney with Graves & King LLP. He joined the firm in 2019. His practice currently focuses on civil litigation defense of public and private organizations in matters of significant exposure.

Mr. Coughlin has been practicing law in Southern California for nearly thirty years. He performed his undergraduate work at the University of California, Irvine (BA, 1981), and received his law degree from the Western State University College of Law (JD, 1990), where he earned an American Jurisprudence Award in Legal Research and published in the university newsletter. He received an MBA from the University of California, Irvine Merage School of Business in 2004.

Mr. Coughlin has previously served as an arbitrator on the California Superior Court panel, and as a member of the Orange County Bar Association. He has successfully represented numerous individuals and businesses during his legal career both as a general civil litigator, and as an advocate for commercial and residential interests. He has also volunteered his time to lecture to entrepreneurial groups regarding new business formation and related statutory issues.

Mr. Coughlin was born and raised in Southern California. His interests include hiking, American theatre, and guitar building and playing.
